Reunited at last! PDS welcomed back our friend Alex…. He is blind and has other disabilities and limited verbal skills. PDS Executive Director, Lisa Markey, started working with Alex when he was 22 and she was 24. Alex was with PDS for 22 years but we had to let him go when he started having problems with his feet and he was in too much pain to participate in the PDS program…… Fast forward 10 years and because of the Friend Zone we can serve Alex again! He’s so happy to be back with his old buddies and thinks the Friend Zone is very safe and comfortable. Lisa and Alex are both in their 50s now but Alex doesn’t look like he’s aged at all!
