Justin Burke

Justin has been a dedicated part of the PDS team since 2002, bringing over two decades of experience to his role. His journey in this field began in high school, where he participated in the Spectrum program at Drake High and discovered a passion for working with individuals with developmental disabilities. After graduating, Justin began working at a group home where a client from PDS lived. That led him to take on the role of job coach with PDS, a position he continues to excel in today.

At PDS, Justin’s favorite activities include job coaching and leading group adventures. He especially enjoys coaching Eric and JR at Costco, taking pride in the independence and fulfillment his clients gain through their work. When it comes to managing client needs, he’s one of the most experienced staff at PDS. With any situation that arises, Justin knows the right way to approach it. He excels at this because he sees through whatever differences people have to the human inside, and can always find the right way to connect and communicate with them.

A Bay Area native, Justin was born in San Francisco, grew up in Fairfax, and now resides in Novato with his family. Outside of work, he leads an active lifestyle filled with outdoor adventures, mountain biking, and coaching his children’s sports teams. He’s also an avid collector of comic books and art, a fantasy football enthusiast, and a foodie.

Client Testimonials

Here’s what some of the clients have to say about Justin:

  • JR: “Justin takes me home. I like that he drives me around. I like going around Costco with him. I’m not scared with him (when talking about Costco Halloween). I like going on trips in his car. I miss him.”

  • Kevin: “He’s a nice man, calm and gentle. I like hanging out with him and going to the record store. One time, I had a pair of good headphones, and they broke. He helped me find a place to get new ones.”
