Our small organization is non-site based, meaning that our clients do not congregate in a segregated building or center. All support is provided in natural environments in the community where our clients are participating in enjoyable and productive activities like any other adults.

PDS is considered to be a progressive program and implements current best practices in the fields of vocational/special education. Our clients are gainfully employed part time in businesses where they are directly hired and paid at least minimum wage at cool places like Costco, Whole Foods and Banana Republic.

Our Employment/Community Support Facilitators "job coach" at our clients' places of employment, support clients in the community, at their classes at College of Marin and drive them in their personal vehicles. Generally our staff work with clients between the hours of 8 AM and 3 PM, Monday through Friday and attend a weekly staff meeting on Thursdays from 3:30 to 5:00 PM. Because we also compensate you for preparation time, done at your leisure, you will be paid for 41 hours a week (with one of those hours at time and a half).

All of our clients are wonderful and the work is very meaningful.

Must have some kind of relevant human service experience (could be babysitting, working with kids or the elderly) but we do provide training, California, Driver's License, car in good working order with four seatbelts (total), commitment to the values and clients of Pacific Diversified Services, ability to make it to work by 8:00 AM on weekdays (no nights, or weekends), a sense of humor and enthusiasm for our mission. No felony convictions or DUIs.

Full Time: $25,300 per year, $4,540 non-taxable yearly auto stipend, $2,000 non-taxable yearly meal stipend. 4 weeks (21 days) of paid time off in first year. One year commitment requested for full-time positions.

Two weeks training provided. Health and dental benefits are through Kaiser or Health Net and Delta Dental. A variety of plans and co-pay options are available. Retirement plans offered for long-term employees.
